Why COAGS?
Become A Professional Guide
The Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School (COAGS)
takes pride in being known as the "first choice"
among serious outdoor enthusiasts who want to begin
careers working in the outdoor recreation industry. If you want to
be a professional guide for hunting or fishing,
or maybe work with horses as a wrangler or packer, then COAGS
is the place to begin that career.
Sharpen Your Personal Skills
COAGS is also the "right choice"
for people who simply love the outdoors, such as hunters, fishermen, horsemen,
hikers and, backpackers. Their primary goal is to
improve their personal outdoor skills so they and their loved ones
can enjoy the outdoors safely. These enthusiasts come to
COAGS to learn what to do if "something goes wrong", how
to avoid getting lost, how to prepare for the unexpected,
or to develop confidence in their abilities to
explore the great outdoors like never before.
Licensed - Bonded - Certified
Licensed, bonded, and approved by the
Colorado Division of Private Occupational
Schools and the Department of Higher Education,
COAGS veteran students will qualify for Veterans
Administration Benefits. Also, U.S. Department of
Labor Vocational Training Programs, as well as
State Vocational Rehabilitation Programs have
approved COAGS and will provide financial assistance to qualified
applicants. Many colleges and universities offer college credits
to our graduates.
Experienced - Qualified Staff
Our staff of instructors are the best
in the business, combining over 100 years of
experience in the outdoor recreation, business,
and outfitting industry. Our staff has guided,
hunted, and fished in the U.S (Alaska, Colorado,

Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, and Florida), Mexico,
Canada, and South Africa.
Job Placement Assistance

to qualified graduates. We have
